Application for the cello Marino Capicchioni 1960 loan was started in March 2025 , and it has been decided that the cello is scheduled to be loaned to Mr. Toranosuke Ikeda, a student of the Music High School attached to the Faculty of Music, Tokyo University of the Arts.
We hope from the bottom of our hearts for his profound study and success in the future.

Toranosuke Ikeda

Born in Ishikawa Prefecture. Started to learn the cello at the age of five. The 2nd place in the Senior Section of Primary School in the Japan Classical Music Competition (the top place), Silver Prize in the Middle School Section of Mori-no-Izumi Junior Cello Competition. In 2024, Excellent Award in the Freshman Audition of Concert Vivant, the 4th Suda Music Encouragement Award, the 1st place and NHK President Award in the Cello Section Nationwide in the 78th Student Music Concours of Japan. In January 2025, he performed in the concert “Live On – Concert to Support Young Lives” organized by Classic Yokohama. Participated in many music seminars and festivals including Akiyoshidai Music Academy and Kaminoyama Music Festival. Every year since the 5th grade of the primary school, he has taken lessons from Kota Nagahara, Yasuhiro Suzuki and Kenji Nakagi in Tenka Toitsu Ensemble Academy. The 2nd year student at the Music High School attached to the Faculty of Music, Tokyo University of the Arts, studying with Kenji Nakagi.
